The StAR Team is your one stop shop for recruitment events, course advice and guidance, applications, widening participation and education progression.

Our courses:
We offer full-time, part-time, apprenticeship, degree and employment-related short courses, all of which are listed on our website. All of our full-time courses have work placement hours as part of their programme.
How and when can students apply?
College Applications: We accept applications throughout the academic year and we encourage students to apply as early as possible. Students can apply via our website or by completing a paper application form available from us. The sooner we have a student’s application, the sooner we can arrange an interview. An application does not commit the student to accepting a place.
UCAB Applications: If you are applying for one of our degree level study courses with University Centre Askham Bryan (UCAB), please see our how to apply section.
Short Courses and Commercial: For more information on applying and booking on our short courses or commercial training provision, please see our online store for further information.
Our open events:
We have a range of open events throughout the year. Dates and booking information are on our Open Event page. Events include open mornings, information evenings and taster sessions – booking is essential. Applications and interviews can be arranged at any of our open events.
We also organise school and group visits tailored to your needs and interests, simply contact us to discuss your requirements.
