This qualification is aimed at candidates who have completed a level 3 qualification in floristry and are seeking higher level qualifications in professional floristry. The course is designed for those who are ambitious and wish to continue their career journey into management.

qualification (Merit or above) with English and Maths at Level 2 and practical experience in the industry

Key Information

Candidates must have achieved a level 3 standard in professional floristry, including industrial experience and have a sufficient level of literacy and numeracy to enable them to research the underpinning knowledge, carry out the practical tasks and complete the assignments.

It is designed to:

• Encourage learners to develop and perfect skills learned in Level 3
• Build confidence
• Develop own individual floral identity and style

The course is tutored by an award winning florist, currently running own floristry business and has experience at examining at this level

Historical Studies for Floristry

Floral Event Practices

Business Practices for Floristry

Marketing & Promotion Practices for Floristry

Technical Floristry Skills in Tied Designs, Wired & Glued Designs and designs in Mediums

Design Trends

Concepts for Floristry

 

 

To gain this qualification, candidates must successfully achieve the following assessments:

• Practical examination (Externally set – 3.5 hours)
• Written examination (Externally set – 3 hours)
• Three module integrated assignments

 

 

Level 3 floristry qualification (Merit or above) with English and Maths at Level 2

Practical experience in the industry is also required

Upon successful completion of this course students may progress onto a City & Guilds Level 5 Master Diploma in Floristry

Students who studied this qualification have progressed to working in boutique hotels, wedding co-ordinating, setting up own businesses, careers with florists in London, Manchester and Australia. Teaching, working on cruise ships and resident florist in hotel in Bahamas.

A normal range of stationary is required for theory sessions. Other supply costs are kept to a minimum wherever possible and will be provided before the start of the course.
